You and S & B

Stephens & Bradley provide both forensic and clinical psychological services which include therapeutic treatment for psychological illness and stressors, behaviour modification plans, along with forensic and clinical psychological court reports. We provide evidence-based treatment such as Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), and Rational Emotive Behaviour Therapy (REBT), and work collaboratively with our clients to develop a treatment plan that best suit their needs.
We provide therapy for difficulties ranging in severity from psychological disorders, helping people navigate life transitions, deal with challenges, to enhancing their effectiveness, performance and wellbeing. One key difference between Psychologists and other therapists is that in addition to providing general counselling and therapy, Psychologist's are qualified to provide diagnoses and treatment of mental health disorders.
Forensic
Have you been charged for an offence and having to go to Court? Are you angry or is your behaviour is not 'normal'? Have you been violent to your partner, family member or child? Are you having difficulty with drinking or drugs? Has your partner expressed concern about you behaviour? Has your solicitor suggested you begin treatment? Are you upset about your behaviour or pornography addiction that you are too fearful to speak to anyone about?
Our psychologists are trained in areas associated with the 'negative' aspects of human behaviour. Click here to learn more.
Clinical
Are your worries holding you back? Can't seem to shake your low mood? Have been the victim of a violent, traumatic or domestic violence offence? Are you having panic attacks or feel scared or worried for no particular reason? Have suffered 'stress' or injury in the workplace? Have you been diagnosed with a mental health condition and just don't know what to do? Are you just needing someone to talk to so that you can understand your behaviour or your partner's behaviour?
We have training in a variety of clinical areas of functioning to treat a variety of clinical conditions. We can also provide treatment under Workcover for those who have suffered a workplace injury. We acknowledge that some clients may require extensive long term treatment and in such cases or where we are unable to assist our client further we refer on to other services. Immigration
Application for an Australian visa is a complex and difficult process. At times an application may involve intense scrutiny of the application, or specific areas of the application relating to character, Schedule 3 issues, Section 501 matters. The nuances of visa applications are many and dependent upon the circumstances of the application.

Visa matters associated with violence, criminal behaviour, domestic and family violence are areas our practice does deal with. To find out more click here.
Firearms
On occasion our psychologists are called upon to provide clinical assessment of individuals who have had their firearms licence suspended or revoked. This process occurs after the NSW Firearms Registery provides written notification and recommendation for any appeal of a decision.
